The country where we were born and raised has experienced multiple periods of conflict. Because of these challenges, Burundi has not had enough time or stability to rebuild and develop. Today, it is ranked among the poorest countries in the world.

As a result, many children grow up without the support of both parents. Some lose their parents to illness or other circumstances, while others are abandoned because their families cannot afford to care for them. These children are left without anyone to support them. Even those who want to help often struggle because they themselves have very little.

There are also many children who still have both parents but live in extremely difficult conditions. Due to widespread poverty, they lack essential needs such as:

• Food
  
• Clothing
  
• Healthcare
  
• Education
  
• And other basic necessities every child deserves
  

We understand this life deeply because we also grew up in these same hardships. After coming to the USA and finding work, we felt called to help children in Burundi using the little that we have. We began by supporting children without parents, finding safe places for them to live and providing essential items. We also extended support to children living with families who are struggling the most.

At first, we worked through existing child-care centers because we did not yet have the means to build our own. From there, we continued helping families in extreme poverty whenever possible.

This is why we created this platform — to amplify our mission and reach more people who may be able to join us. With your support, we can help even more children in need. No contribution is too small. What seems little to you can transform another person’s life.

Helping is not about having a lot. It is about having a compassionate heart that is willing to share.

The number of people in need in Burundi is very high, but we chose to focus on children because:

• Our resources are limited
  
• We want to help children reach their dreams and build hope for a better future
  
• We believe we are planting seeds of kindness and compassion in their hearts
  

We are confident that these children will grow into adults who remember the support they received, and in turn, they will help others. This is how we can nurture a future generation filled with love, kindness, and hope — even long after we are gone.

From this vision, the name of our organization was born:
